"Take Me Out to the Ballgame" - 5/21/11

Announcing a new "Old Bro" event to take place on May 21, 2011 .....

Come out and see the UCLA baseball team take on the Cal Bears at Jackie Robinson Stadium at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2011.  You might just run into an Old Bro or two while there .....

Last year's team advanced all the way to the finals of the College World Series for the first time in UCLA history, losing a best-of-three showdown with national champion South Carolina.  This year's squad started the season with four straight wins, but inconsistent play now has them sporting an 8-6 record with three quarters of the regular season to go.

Jackie Robinson Stadium, on the grounds of the VA Hospital just west of the 405, is an OUTSTANDING place to watch a ballgame.  Parking is available right next to the stadium for $7, tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for kids (16 and under), and if you are a member of the UCLA Alumni Association (and have the card to prove it) you get in for FREE !!

Seating capacity is approx. 1,200, and all of the stadium style seats are along the base lines with great views of all the action.  There are concession stands as well as clean and well maintained restrooms.  It's a very family friendly environment, so bring the wife, the kids, the whole gang if you like.

BONUS -- If we can get a minimum of 15 people committed to attending the game, we can save a couple of bucks on each adult ticket by purchasing tickets as a group.

So, if you're interested in attending, send me a note and I'll get you some more specific info about this event.

Support our Bruins and say howdy to a few Old Bro's as well !!

Cheers,
MJH
